Accommodation providers in Spain are required to record and report specified information about their guests. El Bufón de la Corte therefore asks every overnight guest to complete the registration process. This obligation applies separately from the commercial booking and helps us comply with Spanish accommodation-registration requirements.
Who must register?
Every person staying overnight must be included, not only the lead guest who made the reservation. A parent or legal representative may need to provide the required details for a minor. Visitors who are not part of the confirmed reservation may not stay overnight unless agreed and registered as required.
What you need at arrival
Please have a valid government-issued identity document available at check-in and provide the registration details requested. The information must be accurate and correspond with the guest who is staying. We do not ask guests to publish these details on the website.
Why the information is collected
The information is collected to comply with legal obligations applicable to accommodation providers, including the documentary registration and reporting framework established by Spain’s Royal Decree 933/2021. Required information may be communicated to the competent authorities through the prescribed process.
When registration takes place
Complete any requested pre-arrival step by the deadline in your arrival instructions and be prepared to verify the information at check-in. Standard check-in begins at 15:00. Registration must be completed before an unregistered guest can remain overnight.
If information is missing
We may be unable to complete check-in for a guest who does not provide the information or identification required by law. Contact us before travelling if a document has been lost, renewed or presents another difficulty so we can explain what information is required.
How registration data is handled
Registration information is used only for legitimate accommodation administration, legal compliance and related security obligations.
