House Rules

El Bufón de la Corte is an intimate bed and breakfast in a restored Andalusian watermill. These house rules help protect the character of the property and ensure that every guest can enjoy a relaxed stay. Additional practical instructions are displayed in Dutch, English and Spanish in the shared areas.

Respect for other guests

Please treat other guests, our hosts and the property with consideration. Keep music, conversations and devices at a reasonable level, especially during the evening and early morning. El Bufón de la Corte is designed for rest, discovery and personal hospitality rather than parties or organised entertainment.

Registered guests and occupancy

Only guests included in the reservation may stay overnight. The property has six guest rooms and a maximum overall capacity of twelve people. Visitors or changes to the guest list must be discussed with us in advance. Every overnight guest must complete the required registration procedure and present the necessary identification.

Rooms and shared spaces

Use your room, the breakfast area, terrace, garden, swimming pool, guest parking and other shared spaces responsibly. Return furniture and shared items to their proper place and leave common areas ready for others. Please report damage, spills or faults promptly rather than attempting repairs yourself.

Swimming pool and outdoor areas

The outdoor swimming pool is approximately 5.80 metres long and 1.30 metres deep and is not heated. Follow all on-site safety instructions and take particular care on wet surfaces. The terrace includes natural stone, gravel and artificial grass, as well as a barbecue, outdoor shower and outdoor kitchen.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted inside the bedrooms or indoor shared spaces. It is allowed only outdoors, with consideration for other guests and the surroundings. Dispose of cigarette ends safely and never leave smoking materials unattended, particularly during dry or windy weather.

Pets and young children

Pets are not accepted. The property does not provide dedicated baby or small-child facilities. Guests travelling with children should contact us before booking to discuss whether the accommodation and surroundings are suitable for their needs.

Air conditioning and heating

Bedrooms have air conditioning and heating operated by remote control. Keep doors and windows closed while climate control is running and switch equipment off when it is not needed. During the summer period, air-conditioning electricity may be charged per kWh when this is specified in your booking offer or confirmation.

Parking and access

Free guest parking is available on the property through the main entrance. Park only in the indicated area and keep access routes clear. The gate remote control remains part of the property and must be returned at check-out.

Damage and personal belongings

Please take reasonable care of the historic building, original mill features, furnishings and equipment. Tell us immediately about accidental damage or a lost access device. Keep valuables and personal belongings secure; refer to our liability policy for further information.

Departure

Check-out is by 11:00 unless a different time has been confirmed in writing. Remove your belongings, leave the accommodation in a reasonable condition and return the gate remote. More details are available on the check-in and check-out page.

Emergencies

Contact Frank or Saskia promptly if a problem affects the property or another guest. For fire, police, ambulance or another immediate emergency in Spain, call 112. Always follow instructions from emergency services.
