Plans can change. We therefore want the cancellation conditions for your stay to be clear before you confirm a reservation. The exact cancellation schedule and any package-specific conditions shown during booking and in your booking confirmation form part of your agreement with El Bufón de la Corte.
Which conditions apply?
The conditions stated in your booking offer and confirmation are decisive. Different terms may apply to room reservations, packages, promotional rates, last-minute offers or reservations made through an external booking platform. If you booked through Booking.com or another intermediary, cancellation must normally be handled through that platform and its confirmed conditions apply.
How to cancel
Send your cancellation request in writing using the email address in your confirmation. Include the lead guest’s name, arrival date and reservation reference. A cancellation is only registered after we have acknowledged it. If your arrival is close, contact us by telephone or WhatsApp as well so we can respond promptly.
Deposit and outstanding balance
Direct reservations require a 50% deposit to confirm the booking. The remaining 50% is due 14 days before arrival. Whether payments can be refunded after cancellation depends on the cancellation conditions accepted for your reservation.
Changing your dates
We will consider a request to move a stay to different dates, but availability and any price difference must be checked first. A date change is not guaranteed and is not valid until confirmed in writing. Approved changes may retain the original cancellation conditions or receive revised conditions stated in the new confirmation.
No-show and early departure
If you do not arrive and have not cancelled, or if you choose to leave before the confirmed departure date, the payment consequences are determined by your booking confirmation. Unused nights, meals, activities or other reserved services are not automatically refundable.
Travel insurance
Travel insurance is not mandatory, but we strongly recommend cover that suits your circumstances, including illness, transport disruption and activities planned during your stay. El Bufón de la Corte cannot decide whether your insurer will accept a claim. Keep your booking confirmation and all relevant correspondence for your insurer.

If any cancellation term is unclear, contact us before paying the deposit. We are happy to explain the conditions attached to the selected room, package or rate. Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory consumer right that applies under relevant law.
